Hi, I am Alex Tong.
I loved dogs ever since I was young and growing up, we had no shortage of them. They were always around us. Whether it was at the dining table begging for table scraps, wagging their tails at the front gate when we come from school, or just quietly lying next to us during TV time.
We talked about them when they did something funny and cried when they got sick, old and died. The cycle then repeats when one dog takes up the mantle from its predecessor.
My earliest childhood memories often revolved around dogs, so much so till the point, I believe now that they are my destiny. Being around them feels like second nature, and by the time I was old enough, the responsibility to care for them naturally fell on me.
Since then, I took this passion and turned it into a career. I started operating Uptown Pets as a way to serve the neighbourhood where I am also a grooming specialist with more than 12 years of experience.
In my spare time, I train dogs and participate in dog shows all over Malaysia. While I have handled and trained numerous breeds, I have been focusing on training Dobermanns as I am so in awe with the breed's beauty and strength.
